State will default to federally-run exchange.

Exchange Funding:
· In 2010, the Georgia State Office of Planning and Budget received a federal Exchange Planning grant of $1 million.
Benchmark Plan:
- Georgia has not chosen a benchmark plan and will default to the largest small-group plan, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia HMO Urgent Care 60 Copay.
Additional Information:
- Governor Nathan Deal created the George Health Exchange Advisory Committee by executive order in 2011 to assess Georgia's insurance exchange options and the process for possible implementation, but as of 2012 Governor Deal stated that planning had ended and the state would not commit to creating an exchange.
- The federal government will assume responsibility for running the health insurance exchange in 2014.
