Background:
·         Currently:
21% of Kentucky residents received Medicaid benefits, and 88% of enrollees have managed care. Coverage is up to 200% FPL depending on the specific program. Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services oversees the state's Medicaid program.
·         Expansion:
Expansion of the current program to 133% FPL would be a 37% increase over current enrollment.
·         Process:
Though no final decision has been made, and Kentucky is split about participating in the expansion. The governor has stated that if Kentucky is financially able, they will expand Medicaid, but the state legislature strongly opposes it.
State Activity:
