White Coat Days

AAHIVM's state White Coat Days give Members the opportunity to petition their state lawmakers directly on issues they support.

What is a White Coat Day?
AAHIVM connects Members and their state legislators in discussions about issues affecting HIV medicine. When meeting with lawmakers Members wear their white lab coats to represent their profession as providers.

The White Coat Day is a key opportunity for providers to make their voices heard. The need for providers' voices in the debates about health and health care is vital. Issues concerning health care have become increasingly complex and the policy makers need to hear from frontline providers as challenges are faced at both the state and federal levels.

Providers make a big impression when speaking with Senators and Representatives from their state. Members are the voice of the HIV care profession and often represent the voice of their patients.
