AAHIVM works to advocate on behalf of our members, and to educate policy makers on the issues important to them at both the State and Federal level. We also encourage our members to get involved and share their experience and expertise as HIV providers with government leaders, policy-makers and opinion leaders.
To learn more about the relevant policy issues of the day, visit our National Issues page. Visit our My State page, to learn about the policy issues being considered in your home state. Check out our Policy Principles section to learn about the values that inform all of our advocacy efforts.
Has Sequestration Affected You?
The Senate Budget Committee wants to hear stories from around the country about the real people, communities, and public health efforts that have been impacted by the sequestration cuts this year. If your practice or patients has been affected, please log on and let them know! Or, if you are a federal grantee, and have seen the effects of sequestration in your grant, let them hear about it!
Contact your Congressman or Senators and let them hear about your thoughts on the legislative issues and policy decisions that matter to you as a provider, your practice, and your patients.
Contact the White House
Voice your thoughts, concerns or support to the President and his administration.
