ALL OF US RESEARCH PROGRAM

The All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. This program is a key element of the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI). Through advances in research, technology, and policies that empower patients, the PMI will enable a new era of medicine in which researchers, health care providers and patients work together to develop individualized care. All of Us is a participant-engaged, data-driven enterprise supporting research at the intersection of human biology, behavior, genetics, environment, data science, computation and much more to produce new knowledge with the goal of developing more effective ways to treat disease.

We have a genuine interest in the success of the All of Us project because of its personalized approach; focusing on individual variability in genetics, environment, lifestyle and socioeconomic determinants of health. This may advance the understanding of some of the major factors contributing to the health disparities experienced by the underserved. You can also join the study as participants! AAHIVM is proud to be one of 35 Community Engagement Partners in the All of Us project. Our role is to educate our members, who in turn may educate their patients and colleagues about this project. We think this is important so that the information gleaned from this project also reflects the health and wellness of people living with HIV and other underserved communities. We are all part of the future of health.

All of Us aims to build one of the world’s largest data sets for health research. This data will be accessible to all researchers. Follow the development of the data set and approaches to research priorities.
